Using montessori with SE students

    I am really interested in an specialist opinion. Can montessori be implemented with special needs and which group level?

    absolutely, its fantastic for occupational therapy if you use the sensorial lessons. ages 2 and a half- 6 years old.
    Practical life skill development in the 2and a half year old- 6 years old room is fantastic also for children with specific needs.
    As for the math manipulatives and language materials, it provides a child with a concrete math and leads them towards abstraction. There are math materials you can use with 6th graders with special needs. (the materials for math are designed to be for ages 6-12)

    The Shelton School in Dallas uses the Montessori Method to teach children with learning differences. From age 3 years old- 5 grade. Montessori works well with any child!
