Totally off the topic but I was curious as to how other people came up with their user name. There are so many interesting ones out there I thought it would be fun to find out the story behind them all.

Not at all interesting...just my name. Even though my last name is very short, many of my boys a couple of years ago called my Mrs. C. and it stuck.

I'm a proud Australian teacher! I love vegemite and my school has kangaroos in the playground (we are on a huge rural site!).

I would say to find something unique that you like. I chose mine because it seems to fit my personality. I am impulsive and get caught up in the moment at times, may not always make the best decisions. I'm a kid at heart.

I got mine from our high school absentee list WAY back when I was teaching high school. From time to time there's be odd names on the list. I remember Ima Hallwalker being one name, so I use Ima Teacher.

I think Elizabeth_1977 is quite obvious to everyone. Elizabeth is my first name and 1977 is my birth year. Elizabeth_1977 is usually the first part of my ISP E-Mail as well.

I've used clarnet73 for a LONG time on forums sites, email, AIM, etc... when I was in HS, I was trying to find a screenname for AOL. I play clarinet, and my favorite numbers are 3 and 7. It wouldn't let me use "clarinet73" or "clarinet37," so I just ditched the i. It's almost like a 2nd identity for me, I use it for so many things!

AngelHead used to be my psuedonymn in High School when I used to write a lot of poetry. I used to think it was kind of beatnik, but I still enjoy hiding behind it.

I chose Minerva after a fictional teacher I admire, Professor Minerva McGonagall. Her students find her to be strict, but fair and she can turn herself into a cat! WOW!

    Jenglish-

My brothers created this name for me and I am the youngest. They said I would say nonsense words or saying and said it needs to go in a Jenglish Dictionary (Jen + English = Jenglish). They would say "Jen-glish" and the 97 is the year I graduated college.

An example for the Jenglish Dictionary would be "You loose, you snooze" It is suppose to be "You snooze, you loose".:D

I am Mamacita all over the internet. I've been Mamacita since April of 2004 when I began my website. I wanted a 'Mommy-type' name, because when I started, I was mostly a mommy-blogger, and all the other forms of the word were already taken.

    I am Mamacita.

Mine is pretty boring. Smiley is my last name, and D is the first letter of my first name. I was assigned this as my username at university, and just found it easier to use for most online uses.

I have always been either a PreK or K teacher and my best friend, who was also a teacher at the same school, always teased me because I looked like the "Mama Chick" with her little chicks when walking in line.

Thanks everyone. There were some good ones in there. My is pretty simple since I teach toddlers and I just took the first half of each word and stuck them together and then added the 1 for teaching 1 yr. olds.

Teacher 333 - the teacher is obvious and the 3's are my lucky numbers (lucky here because whenever I post a question, I am assured of an answer!)
