I recently made the switch from 5th grade to 1st, and I'm really liking it for the most part. In 5th grade, I used the game Kahoot all the time to review different concepts and skills. The kids loved it because it was fun, they would beg me to play it. I loved it because it was a great review, and a really easy way to informally assess.

For anyone who is familiar, do you think Kahoot could be used with 1st graders? My school/district is 1:1 with iPads so that's not an issue. I have lots of ideas for how I could use it with my kiddos, but I'm just not sure if first graders could handle it without getting too silly or overwhelmed. Does anyone have any experience with Kahoot in the younger grades? Thanks!

Getting logged into the site will take a while but they can do it.

I agree, getting it logged in will be a pain but afterwards, they will LOVE it!

Might as well try it with your group and see. Every group is so different, you won't know how yours will react unless you try it.

I used Kahoot in first grade. They loved it. They were ready for it around January. I had one student who was a little emotional about not winning, but we worked through it lol.

Can I just point out what few administrators seem to with the use of kahoot which they champion because it’s a “tech tool”? It’s multiple choice and typically low level questioning.
