Congrats!!!! So excited for you!!!
Great news! Congrats!
So so so so so so so happy for you!
Any news on the house?
You get to go home!! I know you are still interviewing. When do you have to "Say Yes to the School"?
That's awesome news, congrats!!
My realtor BCCed me on an email to the buyer's realtor- also in his firm. So I'm not sure what is going on. We had another showing today and another tomorrow. There are 3 people considering it right now, so hopefully it is soon. If not, I don't have to worry about a commute- my mom's house is closer to the school than I will likely live!
So, so happy for you!!!
I said yes... But I will sign a contract next week. Still will be open to public schools within the county since it is a charter. I'd feel terrible, but the fact that they are unestablished makes me nervous! I do know they have enough money to run for a couple of years...
Time to celebrate! LET'S DANCE!
Congrats!!!!!!!! Iv been reading this post for awhile with my fingers crossed for you. Its soo good to hear you got a local job where you want to be. You give the rest of us hope.
Congrats!!!!! I am so excited for you! Time to get busy packing.
Thanks and me, too!
No idea what grade yet? That would make me more nervous than anything.
Yay Giraffe! I've been lurking on this thread too rooting for you! A STEM school sounds exciting to me (being the science nerd I am)!
I'm hoping since I am their first hire that I have some say in the matter!
Yay!!!! So excited for you. Congrats!!
Congratulations! I have been reading this thread and rooting for you!!!
Hooray! Congratulations! I'm so glad this thread has a happy ending!
That's what I was thinking! Have they asked what you prefer?
YAY!!!!! I am so happy for you!!!!
She asked me 2 weeks ago when I walked in and she interviewed me on the spot.
I normally say I'd prefer 2nd, with 3rd being my second choice. However, after consideration, I'm wondering if I shouldn't choose 1st. Just to get experience in another grade level. I will definitely say 1st or 2nd, I'm just undecided about which I'd put as my first choice!
Thanks again for all the congratulations!
Congrats! I'm so happy for you! Thank you for allowing us to follow you on your journey.
CONGRATULATIONS!!! I'm beyond thrilled for you, and now I'll be crossing my fingers that your realtor has good news for you tomorrow!
It's funny how you may not know people IRL, but you find yourself cheering them on and genuinely happy for them when something wonderful like this happens. Congrats again!

This is so true! When I clicked on the thread, my eyes went straight to the sentence about you being offered the job on the spot. I let out a loud, happy gasp followed by a "yay!" before even reading all the details. Congratulations!! That's very exciting! Good luck with selling your house and getting moved!
Very happy for you. Doing the happy dance at 4:30 am
Congratulations, giraffe! So excited for you!
Congrats! This is such great news!!!
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! Congrats, Giraffe :thumb:
Congratulations! You've sure worked hard to get this job. Time for a celebration!
My demo lesson was terrible. I'm so glad that I went on it because I will be able to learn from it!
I don't expect a job offer from this school!
And, I actually was contacted by another school, which would be R I suppose. They called during my demo. It is almost 2 hours away, so I will be declining. However it was a Title I Math job, so the thought of no papers to grade, no conferences, etc... was intriguing!
