It's almost that time of the year again (yikes, time flies). I've been updating my resume and added my current position for this school year. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

Here is the modified version of my resume, just so you can get an accurate feel for how the layout actually looks...I know the formatting can get a bit funny with copy/paste on a forum.

Omg is that the stationary/template you use? That is so fricking adorable!!!!!! I need to do something like that to my resume to make it stand out more. I think your resume looks great. I especially like the "Related Experience" section. I never really thought about having a section like that (and my college advisor for student teaching never mentioned it!) I have worked at a local resort myself and never really thought of adding it in to my education resume. And the "Skills" section..I assumed that many of the skills like MS programs were standard so I never really put it on my resume..You have certainly opened up my eyes!!!! Maybe I will have a better chance this year at getting hired if I revamp my resume similar to your format. Thank you for sharing. It really does look great. I would hire you!

I disagree with the pencil border across the top bc it seems childish (to me), not professional. I disagree with the "Related Experience" on this resume, but I like the "Skills" section. I like the format.

One of the reasons why I included Related Experience on here is because I've never been in an interview where someone DIDN'T bring up Disney. It always prompts questions and seems to be a conversation piece. Not only that, but a large part of my role was working with guests with disabilities and determining which accommodations we could provide for them to make the most out of their experience, which in a way is very similar to differentiating instruction; I felt it was relevant. In fact, ironically I learned the most about ADA laws and universal access from my training at Disney World. Go figure, it wasn't my special ed graduate classes.

It's okay. I was kind of iffy on it myself, however, with hundreds (potentially thousands) of applicants for any opening, I wrestled with making my resume stand out a tiny bit. Sometimes I wonder if they even have time to read all the resumes they get in this job market. I am totally aware that some people would be turned off by it and find it unprofessional, and may toss my resume in the garbage because of it. I'll consider revamping.

That being said, are there any tips/suggestions about the actual content of my resume?
