Hello strangers. It's been a while since I've been on here to give out helpful advice, vent, listen to your vence, etc. I'm sure no one noticed that I was gone boo hoo ....... :D:rolleyes:

Anyhoo, I finally have some time to actually com eon here for a bit. :D I was actually in the process of googling CSET Math help tips when I stumbled onto AtoZ!

In the time that I've been gone, I had:
    1) been diagnosed with two eye muscle disorders and have been going to a physical eye therapists

    2) bought a house (which is requiring a LOT of work, goodbye hard earned money)

    3) gotten a letter of recommendation from my P (sniff sniff, I had to be pink slipped.... oh, and I did mention that I bought a house right...)

    4) found out that I've been admitted in the geology program at a nearby university

5)Work work work during the day

    6) junior college classes and homework at night

Just wanted to say hi to you guys!!!!!! I miss coming on here and spending hours on here.

Welcome back, Peachy! If you don't mind my asking, which eye muscle problems and what kind of eye exercises are you doing?

Errr, I had to have her write it down for me because I couldn't remember it.

It was diagnosed when I was trying to find a new contact brand. I kept going back, complaining that they were horrible, that I had double vision with them. Turned out it was my own eyeballs. I haven't worn contacts in about a month now, sob, because the double vision is so noticeable when I were them, not so much when I don't. I feel like such a nerd when I wear my glasses.

So, I have double vision and my eyes do not focus correctly.

Exercises that I've been doing so far:
    1) bringing a pen and focusing the pen up to my nose. As soon as it splits, I have to pull the pen back away from my nose and try it again, and again, and again, for about 2 minutes, three times a day.

    2) new exercise also is working on my focusing, and it's a card with three colored dots on one side (blue gree and red) and those same colored dots on the other side. I put the card up to my nose and I have to first focus on the blue dots by bringing the two dots together, then onto the green, then the red, and back up again.

Sorry, it's so hard to describe those tests!

Well, congrats on your good news & I'm sorry about your bad news.

I haven't done eye exercises using the pen in ages. Your post made me do them really quickly just now. I don't have eye problems, but I should do them at least every other day. Probably will never get around to trying the dot exercises.

There's not enough hrs in a day to do everything you want, you know! :)

Thanks for explaining. I understand because I have several friends who had to do exercises like these. Best of luck! And just remember, do them every day -- it pays off in the end. One of my friends had to start back at square one because he got lazy over a vacation and lost all the ability he had worked up over the previous few months.

HI PEACHY!!! Congrats on the new house (I'm jealous;)) and getting into the geology program. Good luck on the job hunt! I'm looking too, but the district I want to work in isn't hiring outside of the district until July:(. I'm also hoping that your eye disorders can be fixed by the exercises.
