Sorry to generalize, but WHY are men such BABIES when they are sick.

I had a pretty nasty head cold last week but I don't have any sick days left with the new job, so I had to suck it up. And even though the symptoms sucked, I didn't feel overly run down or tired. I made it through.

BF started to get sniffly last night and I am pretty sure he is getting the beginnings of what I have. He got up in the middle of the night because he couldn't sleep, and then called out and was back in bed as I was leaving for work. And this is barely the beginning. If he gets the same thing I had, it will get much worse.

So I am bracing myself because he is SUCH a baby when he is sick.

We though DH had allergies last week. Turns out it was a head cold, which he has passed along to me...yuck. He's not a baby when he's sick, but he snores so loudly when he's congested that I have to retreat to the guest room.

We have to make up for when y'all are such babies when bugs decide its warmer outside of the walls.

    *ahem* Sorry to generalize ;)

I envy men who can afford to be babies when sick. If I get sick, I get blamed for it -- DW insists I must have been doing something to get myself sick, whether it's staying up too late, or leaving any food at all on my plate, or eating a cookie, or looking too long at a computer screen or tv.

As a result, I never want to admit to being sick, or having a headache, or being tired, or anything else.

I have to admit, I'm the baby when it comes to illness not BF. He almost never gets sick, and I get sick way too much!

I feel bad because when I'm sick, DH still will hug/kiss me, etc., but when he's sick I want to quarantine him in a separate room so I don't catch his germs. lol

With me, whenever i'm sick, it is usually one of the following:
    Allergies
    Asthmatic Bronchitis
or i've just had a seizure

My guy is a wimp when it comes to being sick. But, I have to say he really took care of me when I was sick in bed.

Bf is a total baby...wraps the blanket over is head and everything...
And I'm the one to get rid of the bugs in the house too. I remember there was a huge bug that he tried to kill when we first started dating...it then flew over his head and he FLIPPED OUT! He screamed, "that joker can fly, yo!" rofl!!
I was laughing so hard and he thought I was in tears bc I was scared...hahaha!

I swear, reading this thread this afternoon jinxed me! Rockhubby has crawled into bed with the thermometer (he doesn't have a fever) and the remote. The problem is that he let his medication for his joint pains run out and waited for a week to let his doctor know. It's all I can do to not yell at him that it's his own darn fault that he's so run down and achy.

My husband is stoic when sick. He can't accept any help at all. Generalizations always fail :)

My BF is rarely, rarely sick, but when he is, he isn't a baby expecting me to care for him. But, I do help him out a little more when he is! (BTW, we don't live together.)

My husband isn't a baby, just annoying and gross when he's sick. I'm the one who always ends up on the couch because of the loud snoring(which he claims it's the cat). When I'm sick and may be restless, coughing, etc, I sleep on the couch out of curtousy!
Bugs? I do all bugs except for those 6 inch long centipedes that fly accross the floor and scare the pants off of me.
