What is an old tv show you can watch over and over again?
What is a new tv show you enjoy watching?
Old show-I Love Lucy
New show-United States of Al
Old - West Wing
New. - Ted Lasso
There is a show called Sue Thomas, FBI that was new for me...lol ( not saying much.) I don't have much TV reception.) A friend bought me the dvds. It is such a sweet show. It always ends with a moral.
Old Show = Star Trek
New = Forensic Files
Lots of old shows i like to rewatch in the background. Mostly comedies like parks and rec, friends, eureka, Frasier, and community.
I'm not sure of a new show.
Heartland Series and NCIS ( most of them)
M*A*S*H for sure, and I’ve been rewatching House recently.
The Resident & What We Do In the Shadows
Although I will warn you: The Resident has hospital scenes and has no issue showing blood, vomit, and everything else. And WWDITS is not for a younger audience. There’s a lot of language and sexual stuff.
Old Show--Tons of them: Golden Girls, L & O SVU, King of Queens, Little House on the Prairie, Big Bang Theory, ER, Grey's Anatomy, Roseanne...
New Show: Chicago Med
I watch these very rarely, but when I'm in the mood for them, I enjoy them: I Love Lucy, Frasier, Friends, The Big Bang Theory
I don't really watch any new shows.
Old shows- Lassie, Star Trek, Bonanza
New show- Blue Bloods
Gilmore Girls is the show I can watch over and over again and still enjoy. I've probably watched the entire series 10 times at this point. It's actually the only thing I enjoy re-watching. I don't do that with other shows.
This isn't technically "new" as I'm pretty sure it's off the air now too, but a whole lot newer than GG- I've been really enjoying Brooklyn 99 on Hulu.
I like most any old dramas from the 60s and 70s. Current shows that I am liking are The
Good Doctor (it's kind of going downhill, though), Big Sky, and SVU.
I mostly rewatch old black and white shows: The Andy Griffith Show & The Dick Van Dyke Show are probably my faves. I find them soothing and calming even just to have them on in the background or to watch briefly before falling asleep. More recent ones that are still old to me: The Office and Big Bang Theory. I also like Jag.
New to me shows I'm currently watching: Young Sheldon & season 2 of The Babysitters Club on Netflix.
I watch in short spurts, usually 10-15 minutes at a time, so it can take me awhile to get through a series or even just a season.

Old - MASH, Andy Griffith.
Not so old - Bing Bang Theory

Old -- Andy Griffith
New -- Ghosts (freaking hilarious and original)
I've been seeing quite a bit of positive mentions about Ghosts. I will have to give it a try.

What channel is Ghosts on?

The new season of Emily in Paris is up on Netflix.
It's not a series, but I'm enjoying A Castle for Christmas on Netflix. It's the equivalent of a cozy comfort read, with a very picturesque setting.

That was a good one. My friend and I watched it and I told her it made me irrationally angry because nobody in my family had a castle for me to inherit and I don't have enough money to buy one LOL
We have been watching Shameless on Showtime. I feel really bad watching it because it is really messed up, but I laugh every episode.
I watched the British version years ago (well the first season, anyway) due to a James McAvoy crush
I don't remember much about the plot tbh, and I probably fast forwarded through the most cringey parts, lol.

Does anyone watch the Hallmark channel? I am able to log in on the app with my MIL's password hahahha
What do you watch? The Hallmark Romance movies are for the dogs. I tried to watch a few and they stunk (I think it was the acting rather than the stories). I watched a few mysteries and they were fun. What am I missing?
I tried a couple (no recollection of specific titles) but they just weren't my cup of tea. In theory I Iike the idea of a cozy comfort movie channel, but I just didn't get drawn into any.

I tried to watch another one. It was ok. I just watched it while cooking dinner. So many commercials! I really hate tv for that reason.
They do have some live streaming shows that are fun sometimes I watch them. I missed when they had Monk on but I'd love to watch a few episodes now and then.

Anybody planning to give The Gilded Age a try? Starts tomorrow on HBO.
It's by the creator of Downton Abbey but with an American setting. Old society New York. Sort of Edith Whartonesque (one of my top ten favorite authors) so I'm looking forward to it. Hope it's good!
It sounds interesting, but no. I don't have HBO. I hope you enjoy it. Let us know how it compares to Downton Abby
Yeah, I don't have HBO either, actually I'm thinking I'll wait to hear word of mouth for the first couple of episodes (I don't trust official reviews lol) then see if it's worth it to get a trial subscription which I would cancel after the season ends.

Nope. Don't have cable channels. Sounds interesting.
Well the one review I read said it is a pale imitation of Downton Abbey...so I will hold off on that short term trial HBO subscription, lol. That isn't super promising, unfortunately.
I still do want to give it a try sometime because the review said it is very Henry James/Edith Wharton (said one scene was straight out of The Age of Innocence) which is totally up my alley. Maybe it will come out on DVD. My library is a pretty good resource for DVDs.

The Big Bang Theory. This old TV show is the best for me and it always makes me laugh. As for the new TV series, I found a good VPN and finally can watch Netflix (here is a review https://www.firesticktricks.com/ipvanish-review.html if someone is interested), and I've just finished watching Lucifer. I should say, I really liked it and even regret that I didn't start watching it earlier.
Old - I Love Lucy, The Brady Bunch, 90210 (original), Melrose Place
New - The Rookie, 9-1-1, The Equalizer, The Resident, S.W.A.T.

Has anyone watched that show Ghosts? I think it's on NBC or CBS.
CBS. Oh my it is funny!
I saw an ad or something for it but I wasn't paying too much attention. I'll see if I can get it on online or on my Roku. It sounds good.
It's streaming for free on Pluto, which you can get free on your Roku or watch online. I've been enjoying it. It's definitely a bit off-color, but if that doesn't put you off, it's a good, quirky little ensemble show. My sense of humor is rather warped though.

Yes. It is also one of those shows if you watch again carefully you will see many funny things happening that you didn't notice before.
It sounds like something I would like LOL
I'll take a look on the Roku.
