    Crocs :banghead:

There are several teachers who wear them. They are SOOOO tacky. One person actually changes into them when she gets to school.

I am the same with my cell phone. I really hate seeing people constantly talk on them, but I love being able to check my e-mail quickly or look something up on-line without being right by a computer!

Lots of comments about skinny jeans but no one mentioned about boys who wear their pants so low they waddle like a penguin. Plus, you get the added fashion statement of displayed undergarment.

I agree w/ that too. Sorry, but they're so ugly to me. I'll never get a pair, unless they were the more stylish-looking ones & I've seen the more stylish ones on their site.

i personally wear skinny jeans...not b/c i am really skinny...but i have thin calfs (calves?) and i am super short. About the only thing that balances out.
But the super super skinny ones that make your feet in big clunky tennis shoes. Oh yeah...makes me swoon all over again.
Oh WAIT! it is 2009???? not 1989????

i HATE when young men wear their pants so low that they have to walk with one hand holding them up and the crotch is somewhere around their knees! AND when they sit in class, i can see underwear (thank heavens they WEAR undies!)

I usually say, "Oh look! I can see _________'s panties!" to which the young men try and say they are drawers or something. my reply,

"If i have to see them, i can call them what i want!"

or i go on about Under-roos!

More than one blow up holiday decoration on a front lawn.

It bugs me when people don't think rules apply to them.

    Young piercings.

    Day light savings time.

It bugs me when places are open holidays. IMO close everything on Sundays too. Family time!

Scrolling business signs because I usually missed the info and have to wait to see it again.

A local city tried to pass a law about underwear baring - the 'saggy pants' law. Reminds me of the Saggy Baggy Elephant book ...

skinny jeans, faux-hawks, leaving the tags on designer clothes so others know they're expensive, untied shoelaces, sweaters with leggings (the girls push this waaay too much. The sweaters aren't log enough and the leggings aren't opaque enough).

Oh, many of these are on my list....espeically the blow up lawn things....guh, they are annoying and soooo expensive!

Sinfeld was on the other day...the one where Eliane is made fun of by George and Jerry for using her cell phone to call a friend from the street. THey went on and on about how rude it was for her to make a cell phone call!! OH, how times have changed!!!

The Louisville Metro Council (Kentucky) passed an anti-sagging resolution quite recently.

"The metro council admits the fashion police won’t arrest you for saggy pants or baggy bottoms. In reality though, their resolution aims at educating the public. They argue wearing your pants down low glorifies a prison, thug and gang lifestyle. Metro council members don’t think the new resolution can be enforced. However, they want youngsters to wear a belt and keep their pants at a more appropriate place on their waist to look more presentable for job interviews, school dress codes and future opportunities in life."

    I appreciated the gesture.

I don't know if this really counts as a trend, but I get upset about the opposite. When places are closed on Sunday or on holidays it is an inconvenience to those who need to accomplish things. There are people with no families who need a place to go. In fact, my family now has a tradition of doing Christmas dinner at a Chinese place, and then going to see a movie. We've all grown up, moved away, divorced, etc. Unless the young grandkids are there, we go out for holiday meals now! Really, we get in better visits because no one has to cook or clean!

BIG baggy shorts that men and boys wear. Teaching PE (for a long time now) I can hardly find shorts to wear except those baggy tents that they sell now. I used to have two ways to dress, coaching shorts for work and gym shorts the rest of the time (mostly outside activities.) You cant find gym shorts anymore. Russell Athletic used to make great cotton ones, I was in a Big Box athletic store the other day and there was an ad that said "cotton is the enemy" for the new line of sports wear, If that is true then my days are over in PE as I only wear cotton because all the rest is like wearing plastic to me.

This was in style long ago, but I never liked those hair accessories called banana clips that would be used to make a ponytail. Some people can make their hair look lovely w/ them, but I never could.

I agree. Where I live, everything shuts down on Sundays and holidays. I find it annoying because everyone says Sundays is for church, but church doesn't take all day long, and not everyone goes to church. God forbid I want to get more milk or band-aids after church cause we've run out.

In my area, besides the bank & some libraries, the only other place that's closed every Sunday is Chick Fil-A (a fast food place). But I think their food's a little higher to make up for being closed.

That is actually common, I think. At least there are SOME sort of Sunday restrictions in most states.
In MI, you could not buy alcohol on before noon on Sunday or after 5 pm on Christmas Eve.

I had no idea what you guys were talking about when you said you hated the "skinny pants". Today, I saw a guy wearing them at the grocery store. I have just one word for it...EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

Guys wearing the skinny pants just look gross & the ones I always see wearing them are th grubby-looking teen punks w/ strange hair...definitely not a clean-cut, crisp-looking guy.

I'd have to assume these could be hazardous to a man's bits and pieces! How on earth can they squeeze themselves into them without excruciating pain? And for that matter, WHY would they want to??:dizzy:

Well, it does reduce the sperm rate due to a heated environment, so it might be a good thing for some 'men' to wear them.

Same here in North Carolina. I don't drink but I think people should have the choice to go out for a drink or have wine with dinner on a Sunday.
