I have a student who has TBI in a 4th grade Resource classroom. For the most part, she does well socially and physically. The main problem that I am concerned with is that her short term memory is affected, making it difficult for this student to learn. Does anyone have experience with TBI and know some strategies for helping her learn? This is my first year teaching so I am feeling a little over-whelmed. Right now, I have five students and one aid, but soon I will have 6 students and probably lose my aid to another resource class with more students. Any advice would be appreciated.
