    Hello all!!
I would love to make transitions in my classroom better. I taught preschool for many years and I know a couple of "baby-ish" transition songs that I used for them. But I would love to come up with or learn transition raps, poems or just sayings that I can use as I move my kids from one thing to the next. Last year my 2nd graders did not like to sing songs. But they did respond well to raps (money raps to learn coins etc.) and poems. Does anyone know of a saying that we can say together as we go from maybe math to science. Maybe some call & response transition statements. Something to signal them to get ready for the next thing. I hope this makes sense. :D

when we were lining up to leave the classroom, my kids liked the call and response that goes something like...

    everywhere we go-o
    people wanna know-o
    who we are
    so we tell them
    we are the second graders

i call and they respond with the same phrase.
    you've probably heard it before.
