We will be adding The Tool Kit: Comprehension to the Core by Stephanie Harvey to our literacy/science/social studies lessons. It looks amazing.

I'm looking forward to hearing your likes and dislikes about the structure. I am curious as to how it blends with Daily 5.

We use that in our school. It blends seamlessly with the Daily 5 and CAFE. It has great lessons and essentially helps us to not have to "reinvent the wheel".

    Thank you Swan!
It does appear that it will blend well.

The Toolkit is excellent for looking for deeper meaning in comprehension. It is amazing and for me, the bonus is that it comes in Spanish.

Do you mean the Tool Kit for Teachers comes in Spanish or the articles for students...or both?

I just started to use it at the end of last year. It really is amazing!

I am looking to make a timeline for lessons taught.
    Is there one already developed?
Do you recommend some lessons first or later?

I haven't found anything like that. I've had plans to scour the internet to see if anyone has linked the lessons with CAFE strategies or Common Core.

My plan is to work sequentially through the books, but not necessarily do the books in order. I'll do books themselves in order, but may jump around through books.
