Here are some cool tips for students to spend their summer vacation effectively,
    1. have fun and enjoy yourself,
    2. have a visit to your friends house,
    3. select a summer hobby and try to pursue it,

Is there any other things that students can do during vacations?

Spend some electronic-free time-- connect with people face to face.

Make an effort to spend some time with your family. They'll treasure those moments!

I come up with a list of things to accomplish each summer and try to knock off one per day. Some of them are chores (paint the front door), some of them are family fun (visit a nearby watermark) and some are strictly personal (get a pedicure). I try to get about 50 things on my list each year. This year, I have 6 things left: clean out the pantry, clean the foyer chandelier, organize the linen closet, invite AT and her baby over for lunch, invite CB out for lunch, and arrange horseback riding lessons for my middle child.

I love the idea of a "thing a day" to do list.

I agree that kids should be encouraged to unplug in the summer.

Yes in to-do list, add all works that students like to do and execute it one by one. Things like learning new language, learning sports game, learning Microsoft excel or any other computer languages might help them in their future studies.
