I have been told by family and teachers on how High School goes by fast. I did not believe any of them at first; now, I definitely believe what they told me. So did high school go by fast for you? Did college also go by fast?

    Ain't that the truth??

I cannot BELIEVE that the tiny infant we picked up at JFK in January 1999 now towers over me and is taking the same course I teach.

I don't feel as though high school went by particularly fast. I'm pretty neutral on all-things high school. College lasted forever but that's because I went straight through three programs.

Things pick up more speed every year that goes by. My oldest child turned 28 today and I remember the day she was born so clearly!

Everything since high school has been going really quickly for me. But then again I've been involved in theatre since then, so that breaks it up, going from production to production.

YES! I can't believe I'm 1/4 of the way through my first year of teaching. It's crazy! In many ways, this past week has been one of the longest by far.

The days can be slow at times, but the years are fast!

The past eight or so year have really flown by for me. I can't believe I've even been part of this forum for six or so years. Seems like time is traveling too fast!! :)

The more routine your life is, the quicker time seems to pass.

Change things up, create significant events, and it won't seem so rapid.

Sadly, the older we get the harder that is to do; naturally the years seem to go by faster the older we get. There's an interesting episode of a show (I think it's Through the Wormhole, hosted by Morgan Freeman) that discussed the passage of time and age. Senior citizens at 80+ usually feel like their late 20s/early 30s was the middle of their lives.

I think no year has gone by more quickly than this year. First year teaching keeps you on your toes!

    Yes...
I agree with those... The knowing of kids (one's that you know outside of school like fam member make it feel fast). I can't believe one that I knew when her mom was pg with her will be graduating from college this year!!! UGH!!!

Other fam members who seemed so young... will be graduating high school next year and then we have them almost every 2 or yr!!!

High school went by fairly quickly. College literally zoomed by; I couldn't believe that three years had already passed by the time I got my degree. Now graduate school is going by even faster. Seems like I just enrolled and I'll be graduating in May :S

High school went quickly. College went even faster, and each year of teaching seems to go faster than the last. I can't believe I'm on year 8 of classroom teaching already!

While life seems to be speeding by, I still look like I'm in college, and one person thought I was still in high school (I'm now, gasp, 30 years old)!!! :p

I also feel younger than I ever have.

But yes, life is certainly going way too fast. Can't believe it's November and that I'm already planning for December's activities! Yikes.
