Thanks Daisy! Car is all cleaned inside and out and the oil is changed!
now I don't now what to do with myself. The traffic coming into down is INSANE! I'm not going to the beach no way in heck. There probably isnt' even any sand to put a beach towel down on. This is when I miss living at my mom's house and having the private beach on the lake.

I had wanted to go to the beach today too, but the line of cars getting into the parking lot of the biggest beach near me is insane. I would have had to get there before 9am if I really wanted to go. Also, they've spotted some more of the Portuguese Man of Wars so they're asking people to be cautious.

Jellyfish that have tentacles that can be up to 40 ft long. A few of the people that have been stung around here (they've been in and out of the waters around here all summer) have ended up in the hospital. They're pretty scary because since the tentacles can be so long, the stupid thing can be no where near you and you could still be stung.
We've never really had them around here before, but because of all the storms and stuff the current and warmer waters have taken them up this way.

We get jellyfish, but usually not really until August and they're never really big ones. This is the first year I've heard of us getting the Man of Wars and the first time they were spotted was in June!

    JaimeMarie,

I have confidence in you as well. We need more dedicated teachers who don't give up even in these circumstances. Good luck on your interviews too. Once you land that position, get right in there and do your thing and show em what you've got.

I got a call from the Principal this morning for an interview tomorrow. It's at the Board of Ed office, which worries me. I'm thinking there may be more than just the Principal interviewing me. Any tips for fourth grade?

I don't know what to tell you about fourth grade. Any tips for grade 3 to 8th LOL.
The two times I have been on an interview with the superintendent there I have been offered the job. Maybe the same thing will happen with you!

Well, I don't want to jump to any conclusions. This is the first interview, but it is for a maternity leave position. I'll take that at this point. At least I'll be working everyday.

Have you heard of literature based reading? I'm thinking it just means using trade books and novels to teach reading instead of anthologies and basals.

I'm pretty sure that's what literature based reading is.

    AWESOME!!!
Good luck at the interview! They didn't give you much time to prepare though, did they?

All I can think of today is that they are striving for independence and having those procedures in place allows them to gain some of it in the classroom... (today was my last day at work, i'm emotionally drained and brain dead!! :))

Yeah - I don't want to hi-jack the thread, but it was downright heartbreaking!

Break a leg at your interview tomorrow!!!
