We regret to inform you that you were not selected to fill the position. This is not to be regarded as a reflection on your experience and ability, nor does it bar you from applying for other positions in our District for which you may qualify.

Sorry about the rejection letter! Gosh, they didn't have to say all that...

I think it's short and sweet. But then again, I'm used to rejections.

I'm sorry you got a rejection e-mail, but it really doesn't seem that bad. You can still apply for other jobs with the district, which is a good thing.

I received a rejection letter just like this in the mail. I was surprised that a district would go to the trouble to mail this to rejected candidates, but I did feel dejected after reading it. About a month later, the district called me for an interview. I didn't return the call because I had just signed a contract with another district. They then called me the next day asking again for an interview.

So don't let that stop you from applying again. They just might have a job for you down the road.

I thought it was kind of good - as far as a rejection goes. They are saying you simply were not chosen - not because you aren't qualified. It's just they had to select one person and it wasn't you.

I know it still hurts, but its basically an invitation to continue to apply for other jobs in the district.

Ahh, I know it stinks to get a rejection letter. I applied for lots of jobs and never got anything. :(

I'm sorry that you didn't get the job. I know it hurts (been there several times) but at least you have answer. How many times have we jumped at the phone ringing thinking it was a P offering us a job? Keep your chin up and keeping forging ahead! :)

At least your getting rejecting notices, I rarely ever hear from any of the schools I interview for.

I have been receiving autogenerated reject letters from one of the largest school districts around here. All of their apps and things are done via the net and I everytime a new position comes up I apply for it and receive the exact same autoreject email for each time. It is hard! No matter how many times you get one.

:hugs: I'm sorry about the rejection. At least you are able to apply for more jobs in the district.

I swear I've had the exact same thing emailed to me. It's like they have a book of statements to use when rejecting applicants.
