I am having mixed feelings about my interview this morning and I can't stop thinking about it! I met with a principal and an assistant principal. The principal seemed very standoffish and not interested in the interveiw. It was very short (only about 20 minutes) and they asked the standard interview questions I've been seeing on this forum (which was good, I was a little prepared for them!) I brought a mini-portfolio full of examples that I left with them and I was able to reference a couple samples at various points which I think looked good (and helped ease my nerves). The start of the interview was a little rough though, I felt like a rambling idiot. I had all these great answers all rehearsed out in my head but once I got nervous, it was hard to keep them organized. I hope I didn't blow my chance. I usually don't get that nervous but the way the principal seemed so cold (?) and distant, it really threw me off. I was told they would be doing 2nd interviews tomorrow with some candidates and the Superintendent. The principal told me that I could get a call today to set up the interview, I might not. If not, they would mail me a letter telling me they decided to go in another direction. His closing line was pretty much "We don't sugar coat it". ahh! So nervous! I'm still all shook up, I think!
