This is for the many people being affected by a terrible wildfire burning here in NJ. I am located about 70 minutes from this area. People have already lost their mobile homes (many or all of these are seniors or elderly). Almost 3000 homes are in danger. There are hundreds of people in shelters, but the shelters will not allow their pets, so they are living in their cars with the animals. I just saw an 82 year old man on the news who is in his car with his cats. :( That would be me, absolutely no way in this world would I leave my pets. They are my kids.

So, please say some prayers. The wind could really affect this today.
Right now, they are at 40% contained, so let's pray for that 100%.

    Thank you all.

PS This may have been caused when a National Guard plane dropped a flare...that pilot probably is sick over this now, so good thoughts for him/her, too.

I am not much of a news watcher. Hope the fire is under control by now. I am praying for those affected by the fire.

As of yesterday they were calling it 90% contained. Is it under control yet?

I'll keep them in my prayers too.

Thank you moonbeams and Alice!

They say another 24 hours should see it fully out. We had rain the other night and that helped a whole lot.

This area is special to me, used to visit a lot as a child because I had relatives there. I still go occasionally, it is a neat area to see.

My heart goes out to the people who lost their homes and my thanks goes out to everyone who helped fight this inferno. One man said he had never seen anything like this.
