Very funny. You can also add those comments that tend to start the fights.

OOOH, Dave! You are a real pot-stirrer!

I really can't complain much about this. My husband has other annoying habits, but....

I don't like it when my husband tells me
"I am not one of your little 4th graders!"
"I'll fix it this weekend" and then it ends up being 6 months later before it gets fixed. He would have a COW if I hired someone else to fix it, however!

I also get the "I'm not one of your 4th or 5th graders!" line! Jeeeesh!!! Really makes you feel defenseless because it's an attack that hits me right where I live. It's terribly unfair to have your passion criticized. There's too much resentment in that comment. I could do just fine with NEVER hearing that again. BTW...I dumped him a month ago. I am who I am.

BTW one of my ex-wives was a 5th grade teacher and she did talk like she was talking to 5th graders since I was a teacher too so I could see it! I know I would do it too treating my family like they were some of my middle schoolers

My husband always says "I'm not one of your 1st graders. Did you really think I would fall for that?" But I have found that my methods do work in convincing him to do things that need to be done sometimes. :p
