Here are mine in no particular order

    -PMS & perimenopause--okay, that's in order
    -humidity and sweating
-my belly :) or maybe just my scale
-parents who send kids to school hungry, filthy, without supplies, and smelling of smoke----heck, I'll just say "bad" parents
-getting bitten, spit at, scratched, hit or pinched
-IEPs that are different in each district
-doing the dishes, laundry, or changing the sheets
-pants that are cut short in the crotch and lowriders
-my son's amp for his guitar !!!
    -racism
-people who think special ed./teaching is just baby-sitting
    -teeny-weeny paychecks
-dogs who can't decide what side of the door they want to be on (as she opens the door for the 100th time in an hour)
-my last principal and her opinions of me
    -mice invading my classroom(s)
    -schools with no a/c
-the way concrete smells when it first gets wet
    -idiots

I guess that's more than enough.... Blame it all on #1

What a great thread! I've agreed with many of the things already stated:

    -mean people
-commercials with doorbells over and over that make my dog bark
-people announcing their personal business while talking on the cell
    phone
-Nancy Grace (not that I'm wishing her bodily harm or anything -I'm just tired of seeing her everywhere, she gets on my nerves).
    -Hypocrites
-Capri pants - sorry, just not a flattering look for me- either be
    shorts or pants - there's no in-between.
-Adult men who still play video games
    -Crazy drivers
    -Injustice
-so many news stories about children and animals being hurt
-people who think teaching is just sooooo easy

:agreed: with belly, those Head On commericals (apply directly to the forehead, Head On), and the doorbells on the TV that make the dog bark.

    Some more to add:
-stupid drivers(the onles that seem to be in such a hurry to get in front of you, but then slow down)
    -racism
    -high gas prices
-CEOs and Presidents of companies that make billions in profit when everyone else is struggling just to get by
    -prices of everything going up

Nintendo DS and portable DVD players--Why can't kids get in the car without these things anymore?? I know the DVD player can be good on long trips with little ones, but man, whatever happened to the car games??

My MIL--I'm Southern Baptist and not Greek Orthodox. Get over it already. It has been 15 years.

Ants--exactly what are they good for??

    ring around the bathtub--GROSS!

that commercial that comes on at night on Nickelodon, with Sarah whoever, about the abused and homeless pets. Makes me sad everytime!

Radio commercials that have a car honking--always makes me think it is real

A very lightweight and strong composite material from which very expensive bicycle frames and other components are made of.

Among bike geeks like myself, there's a bit of controversy as to its utility for anyone but professional racers. Good old chromoly steel rides nearly as nice for a tiny fraction of the cost. A very expensive carbon fiber frame weighs 1-2 pounds. A nice steel frame weighs 3-4 pounds.

In terms of speed and performance, a two pound difference translates to about 1/100 of one mile per hour! That's about 5 seconds slower over a 20 mile ride. And yet millions of dollars are spent every year by middle aged men like myself who think that a $5000 road bike will make them faster.

The other problem with carbon fiber is that if you crash, your bike might end up with invisible cracks that will suddenly break at the most dangerous times. With steel, if you crash and your frame is bent, you can usually just bend it back. That's why the people who really depend on their bikes for transportation - tourers, commuters etc. - prefer steel.

My husband just dropped $2,600 on a mountain bike of this nature (apparently the also-expensive road bike wasn't enough), but he has cyclists stopping him on our rides to oogle and ask him about his 'ride', so I guess it was worth it.

    Things I could live without...

people who don't understand why I put the time and energy into teaching that I do

chunks of ice that hit my nose while drinking water at resturants (and everytime they refill my glass, they pour MORE ice into the glass!!)

dirty dishes and piles of laundry

    cold weather/fog/gloomy skies

    hunger (i get SO CRANKY)

When you go in for one thing, and they always find something else wrong..

Is it common to check your brakes when they give you an oil change? Is it typical for a 2 yr old car, city driving, with 19k miles to need new front brakes?? I didn't hear or feel a thing!

When you know something is wrong, and they CAN'T find it!!!

When your car is supposed to be ready on Thursday, and they call you on WEDNESDAY and say; "Oh sorry, we needed to do a few additional things...how is next Thursday??" AAAHHHH... another week stuck in the house. At least the insurance is paying for it...
