It seems like something that would make people look like they have a bigger bottom part of their body than they actually do. They look like something from the 80s.

Yeah, you have to be pretty slim ideally, but hey, if people like them! :)

They do look like the 80s. They just need a little stirrup on the bottom to be totally retro. :)

I graduated high school in '89 so I had a closet full of stuff like this at one time.

I have a pair from another store and I like them. I see people wearing them and I decided to have one pair for myself. They're kinda dressy (the ones I have), so I usually wear them at work and not so much just out and about. They're very comfy.

I have never seen them before but I really, really don't like those! I am not one to be "trendy" anyway, but those look bad even on the models. It makes their legs look chunky, even though I know they have to be stick thin under those!

Hate them. They give you no shape and it's not even flattering on the models. I came around to ankle pants eventually but I don't think I'll be coming around to these.

They remind me of parachute pants (picture MC Hammer in the '90s).

I do not think they're figure flattering.

I had a pair of hammer pants in the late 80s early 90s. Had buttons on them wear the "sides" came together & I had a cute jacket I wore with them! :) On a side note I saw hammer in concert when he was popular!!! :)

    Nope. Not happening.

I did try on a pair recently. They looked terrible on me.

I think they are a bit too trendy to wear to school, and I try not to buy clothes that I can't also wear to work, except for jeans and shorts, both of which are not allowed. If I'm buying a skirt or pants, it will be work appropriate as well. I think I would look like a student if I wore pants that trendy.

I'm going to go a little against the grain and say that I have a pair of the H&M ones for work and love them! It is HOT in GA in August and they are perfect for normal days and, especially, for outdoor field trips. I normally pair them with a fitted tshirt in a neutral color and a long necklace. Nothing but compliments so far, though I understand that they're not for everyone. :)

Ohh the stirrup! Complete with the puffy sleeved shirt, wide pleather belt and Aqua Netted hair?! :woot:

That said, OP, if you love them then rock them! Pleats and I never, ever get a long on pants.

I don't love an elastic waist for work pants. Tends to make most look a bit frumpy...does nothing for one's posterior.

I love these kinds of pants, and I have three pairs. I'm not super slender by any stretch of the imagination, either! (Quite the opposite!) Like Alla said, in the south, where it's easily 100+ every day with high humidity, these are a life saver! :) You just have to pair them with the right tops and shoes. I'm wearing some today, as a matter of fact, in Las Vegas. :)

Those are hideous. Well, maybe if Barnum and Bailey get a few pairs in red for the clowns

My friend just bought a pair of these for lounge pants and she loves them. I don't think they would be flattering on me so I doubt I would ever try them on, let alone wear them to work. I think if they look professional on you, then go ahead and wear them.

In that heat, I'd be wearing light dresses or skirts. ( it can get to 90 degrees in classrooms in June in NJ!)
