It's a little pricier to make but this seriously is the best banana pudding ever! It's worth it!

    Ingredients
2 bags Pepperidge Farm Chessmen cookies
    6 to 8 bananas, sliced
    2 cups milk
1 (5-ounce) box instant French vanilla pudding
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (12-ounce) container frozen whipped topping thawed, or equal amount sweetened whipped cream

    Directions
Line the bottom of a 13 by 9 by 2-inch dish with 1 bag of cookies and layer bananas on top.

In a bowl, combine the milk and pudding mix and blend well using a handheld electric mixer. Using another bowl, combine the cream cheese and condensed milk together and mix until smooth. Fold the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture. Add the cream cheese mixture to the pudding mixture and stir until well blended. Pour the mixture over the cookies and bananas and cover with the remaining cookies. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

(From Paula Deen's website. It's not her original creation but it is on her show and one that has over 1800 favorable reviews.)

    Is the pope catholic? :)

Whenever I go to the bakery I just drool at the ones on display. I could eat one in one sitting (and sadly, have). So delicious!

The chessmen cookies sold me. I copied and pasted this into a document. One of these days, I'll definitely try it!

    Thanks for sharing!

Maybe my family and I should go this holiday to the mini cheesecake factory on base and try out the pumpkin cheesecake. I've never had pumpkin cheesecake. My oldest is a cheesecake lover.

My husband loves banana pudding but hates cheesecake. Then he met me. I think he only had those fast food versions before. Now he likes cheesecake (though nothing like my oldest and me) but be devours this banana pudding.

It's a winner. Now you have an idea and so do I (though mine is more costly but requires less work since someone else is making the pumpkin cheesecake). I would just go to the store for the ingredients but I'm not facing the madhouse called the commissary here on this tiny island this close to the holidays. No sireee.
