    No, but you can attract some talent that wouldn't otherwise consider the career because of the salary. Also, if the teachers can be fired at will, they can easily get rid of the ones who aren't working up to par, which is very difficult to do in the public schools.

    Yes,but you can also get rid of the teacher who does an excellent job but for some reason is disliked by the principal.:confused:

    It seems to me that if a principal has tactics, he or she can target an ineffective teacher as well. Hasn't been my experience, though.

    However, we're getting a bit OT, I suppose.

    More power to TEAM WORK! The money will be like,:unsure:"HEY! YOU ARE GETTING PAID ALL OF ME, SO STRUT YOUR STUFF!"

    As I was reading this story, I was wondering how I would have fared if I had been interviewed and observed for a position. Based on how Mr. V describes the classroom management skills these teachers have, I probably wouldn't get a second look. But still, I wonder....

    He is using a lot of public money for this project, so someone will be keeping tabs on these teachers and the results of this experiment.
