...not even all that!
I'm pretty entertained by the blackout in the stadium right now.
I'm not watching the game, but my brother just tweeted, "ZOMG Beyonce made the generators go "asplode!!" with her relentless booty-shaking message of peace!"
Umm I LOVED Beyonce. My esposo says Madonna was better.
I enjoyed the halftime show, if only for the Destiny's Child reunion.
Loved the show. Not much singing. Ray Lewis should be glad it's the only lights out he's faced. Thug.
Umm, announcers... no one is "just" tuning into the Superbowl. *facepalm*
Oh yeah and MIA flipping the bird was especially classy in the Madonna show.
I don't even remember the show. I need to re-watch it!
MIA keeps it classy
Oh snap! It's getting interesting!!!!!!
More fun than a blowout.
Are you watching on tv Lucy?
Yup! We get about 4 American channels down here
I'm definitely enjoying the game. For once I really don't care who wins. It's a lot less stressful for me this way.
Didn't care for the halftime show. Zzzzzzzz. BF said Madonna was better too.
I'm catching flack for being a browns fan rooting for the ravens.
I thought it was trashy.
So many chilren were watching.
At least no wardrobe malfunction.
I know I'm in the minority, but I agree.
Half time show was disappointing but my favorite commercial was the Dodge commercial, "That's why God made a farmer." It was touching.
Overal impression - way too many sexy commercials and halftime for a family event.
It's a night time football game. I wouldn't categorize it as a family event. It's 10:30 on the East Coast. Send those kiddies to bed.
It started at five-thirty here. I'm sure most of my students are watching and at least half will be up until it is over.
I've liked the touching commercials but could do without the suggestive ones.
Oh, I totally think the Super Bowl is a family event.
I love Beyonce but I was a little underwhelmed.
Yes, but it was "lifted" from a 1978 speech: "Paul Harvey delivered the speech, called "So God Made a Farmer," at the Future Farmers of America convention in 1978."
The production of it was great, but not new...just redone. Loved it, too. Paul Harvey was great! Hope he gets the credit he deserves for this.
His name was at the very beginning of the commercial...
Guess I missed that. Glad it was there.
Best commercial was the Audi one where the kid took the dads car and kissed the prom queen and got a black eye. Outstanding.
It started at 1:30 here. So I would imagine most kids are watching it.

I didn't think the commercials were as suggestive as they have been in years past. I wasn't watching them that closely, though. I've never liked the GoDaddy commercials.
My favorite was the M&Ms one with Naya Rivera and the red M&M. I also like the old people busting out of the nursing home. And the Jeep one. What I liked about the Jeep one was that it did seem very pro-troop and seemed to express what so many of us think in a strong desire bring all of the troops home and end the dang was already.
I watched the game, but changed the channel during half time!
The Dodge commercial (farmer commercial) was way too ''AMERICA!!!! F%&$ YEAH!!!'' for me. And also really long.
One of my favorites is when the girl wishes to be a princess and they cut to her in a warrior costume, on top of a pony yelling about avenging her father. Thumbs up from me on that one!
I didn't think the commercials or half time show were suggestive at all. I remember a few superbowls ago it was all erectile disfunction commercials. And I think Beyonce was awesome!
Beyonce killed it as always. Everyone go home, she wins the Super Bowl .
I hated that prom commercial. So it's okay to just go up to a random girl and kiss her without her consent? I wish the girl had given him the black eye and not the date .
Did you not see her reaction afterwards, she was smiling. She is with the other guy because he is the cool jock and it is what she is suppose to do socially, but that doesn't mean she really wants to be with him. This other guy takes and passionately kisses her, thats what she really wants.
"I said, infinite wishes!" (as thousands of witches fly around overhead)
I'm not a Beyonce fan, but her show was still much better than the Black Eyed Peas. Don't really remember Madonna's.
Interesting perspective. I thought it was pretty clear he didn't pick her randomly and she didn't seem upset by it, which puts it pretty much in the ballpark of any romantic comedy. However.... one could argue those often give a bad image, as the lead often does something which might be considered creepy if done in real life but which is presented well in the movie.
I must have missed all the interesting commercials because the entire time between the games seemed like a snooze fest. It amazed me though how fast they constructed and deconstructed the stage Beyonce sang on. O_O
Just for the record, they are no longer called Future Farmers of America...just FFA. And if you ever have a chance to attend their national convention, GO! It is a production. I will be in attendance this year. Our state one is almost as good. We wear Blue and Gold proudly at our house. My little Choctaw princess won the Choctaw Indian Lamb Show this weekend and was also bronze medallion winner.
I liked the half time show. I'm not a huge fan of Beyonce, but she was good. I'm glad the Ravens won though. And I think the commericals were lacking a bit this year.
HATED the half-time show, but I'm sure that surprises no one. Beyoncé's "dancing" was inappropriate. Since I wasn't just sitting and watching it you would think that there would be many moments as I caught a glimpse that she wasn't making some kind of suggestive move, but no. 90% of the time she was doing something nasty. Heck, I think the wardrobe "malfunction" of Janet Jackson was more tame.
She wore a lacy leotard, high heeled boots, and neckline to her navel.
Sorry, I find that trashy.
I like her voice. I wish she would have dressed sexy in a classy, respectful way.
What she wore was not very dissimilar from what is worn by dance troupes all over the country. Replace the lace with fringe, and move the boots down an inch or so to just below the knee, and it was very similar to what my high school's dance team wore for on-field performances. Her leotard had a modesty panel in places it did not cover, much like a skating costume would. She is a dancer. Why wouldn't we expect her to dress as a dancer would? I loved the outfit, and loved the performance!
