Hello! I had my first of four upcoming interviews today. All are for assistant positions. Today I met with four people in one district, one principal, an assistant principal, a 2nd grade teacher and one of the reading specialists. I obviously know the principal and assistant principals names for the thank you notes, however I didn't get the names of the 2nd grade teacher and reading specialist. :dizzy: Looking up the reading specialist, there are 2 at the school....could I address the thank you note to both of them? (I believe the other one sat in on earlier interviews today) or is it OK to call the day after and ask for the names of who I interviewed with? Or will notes to the P and Asst P be enough? *sigh*

    Thanks to anyone that responds!!!!!!!

Hmmm...that's tricky. I actually had a similar situation, I interviewed with an Athletic Director and parent for a coaching position and I think I remembered the parent's name, but I wasn't 100% sure.

You could address it as, "Dear P, Asst P and the rest of the panel/selection committee" or as, "Dear Selection Committee"

You could also call to double-check names. Good luck!!!

When I can't remember or find out all the name, I thank the administrators and ask them to please convey my thanks to the rest of the committee. My husband says his principal forwards such emails to the rest of the hiring committee.

Btw, panel interviews for paras now? Geez! :dizzy: I'm predicting that pretty soon paras will be required to have four year degrees and teachers will have to be specialized. Like a reading certificate to teach primary or a math cert for anything above first. Middle school and above will require a PhD.!!!!!

If I lose the flurry of names, I send a note to the ranking admin's email and address it to the interview committee as a group.

    team

This happened to me recently. I addressed the email to one person and asked them to pass along my thanks to the rest of the team :) And I got the job so I guess it worked out ok.

Yes. I agree with this. It happened to me this year.

I sent one email to the head of the panel thanking everyone after an interview.

    ...I didn't get the job.
