I just looked at Ellen's Obituary & noticed that A to Z will be sponsoring it until 2008. I personally wanted to THANK YOU and say how sweet & kind that is not only for all of us here, but for her family & friends!!! THANK YOU!!!
When I saw it was only going to be online for one month, I decided to sponsor it for a year. It's too bad they don't leave them on longer. It wasn't much... I wish I could do more.

My thanks to you too, Amanda. I did not know Ellen as well as some of the others and have been reading her posts. I wish now I would have known her better.
My family and I just noticed the sponsoring yesterday (or maybe the day before- time's a bit of a blur this week), and when I pointed it out to my parents, they both commented on how nice it was of you. We would have said thanks sooner, but had a rough night/morning, in anticipation of the memorial service. But we truly do appreciate it very much. - Kate

Well said. I have been able to come to this site and communicate with those here when I have been going through tough times. It has been a huge help. And thank you Amanda for keeping this site going! It means so much to so many people.
I agree with this wholeheartedly. This site is unique. I've been to some others, and this is the best one I visit, with the best people.

That is a great thing to do for her family at this time. We all do not realize how many lives we touch in little ways.
That's the reason there is only one online teacher's community like this in the world. Nothing compares!! I still think of Ellen and what she would say as her answer to some of the threads on here.
