At the risk of sounding like a sentimental weirdo, I just feel I need to quickly express how much this site means to me, again. ::soapbox:

Amanda, you are simply amazing for what you have built here! There is no other place on the World Wide Web where I can get what I get at this site. I am extremely grateful for all that you have done and continue to do. :hugs:

A to Z friends, I am so thankful to all of you, too. Besides being able to come here and ask stupid questions and not get judged, I've made some great friends--huge bonus! I don't even know if I would have a teaching job if it wasn't for ya'll!

I agree completely! :) I'm switching from special education to general ed, and if it weren't for the posts on here I would feel completely overwhelmed. What a great source of help and information!

I agree too! People ask me where I come up with some of my ideas. I get the greatest support here. It's the only board I visit regularly.

I absolutely love this site. I can bounce ideas off of people. I can solicit opinions and ideas. I can ask questions of veteran teachers at a click of a button. The fact that it's a teacher board means it's basically a panel of experts since we have people who have degrees in just about everything but underwater basket weaving. I check this page more than Facebook (and that's saying something for a recent college grad!) Thanks Amanda!

I spend my summers on AtoZ and always gain fresh insights, new ideas, and get excited for the new school year. Thank you to Amanda and everyone that posts. It's like going to a teacher camp.

I love how Mable called it "Teacher Camp"-that's definitely what it's felt like this summer.

This site means a lot to me as well. I find ideas I never thought of trying before, ideas for where to find resources I didn't even know I needed and I love having a place where I can vent about my job and get support without worrying about co-workers finding out.

I also very much appreciate you guys!:up:

It's even a safe place for those of us inveterate "ed groupies" who've never managed to outgrow the urge to Help The Teacher.

And, of course, I know you will help me become the best teacher I can be.

    Thanks!!!

A to Z is the only place I truly feel that I can vent about a bad day and brag about a good day w/o worrying about how either one will be taken. If this site had a "Houghton Mifflin 3rd Grade Reading" section it would be the ONLY place that I visited. As it is it's about 90% to 10%. Thanks so much Amanda. You are awesome :)

This is my where I come to relax, refuel, and energize my profession.

It's really renewed my awareness of all the little newbies; we have 3 on my campus. I've made sure that had a place to go to lunch during workshops, tried to make them feel like we're "family" at school and support each other, and given them immediate advice on what's most important on the first day. On my campus, it's the bus, car rider list for the first day of school.

    Thanks so much Amanda!!!

I am a relative newbie to this board, but you have all gotten me through some tough moments, and I expect, more tough moments ahead. I have learned so much already, and hope to learn even more. I am not even a certified teacher yet, and I am reaping the benefits of A to Z. I tell everyone I know in education about this place.

    The Best Site for Teachers!

Amanda, I want to thank you for two solid years of support, guidance, sharing, caring, fears and tears.

I have never had an opportunity to learn so much, share so much, and do so much, 24/7.

May you continue to grow with this forum, monitor and enhance functions and resources, and praise your outstanding moderators for doing their jobs in a timely manner!

    :thanks:

Me too!!!! :atoz_love: I haven't even read all of this thread but am so thankful to have found this site. It has renewed my enthusiasm for teaching. I don't respond to every thread but read it religiously and feels like I can sit with a cup of coffee with friends and share (vent) etc. etc. And it is awesome that we can have different opinions, or ask questionhs without being judged. I love you guys, you'll are great! Special hugs for Amanda! :hugs:
