Hi everybody. I am located in the Dallas area and am looking for an alternative certification program. I was planning on going with texasteachers just because it looked good and is cheap. Has anyone taken this? Did it prepare you well for the classroom? Was it easy to find a job? Please help, any insight would be much appreciated. Thank you.

I went thru texas teachers and was happy with it.
Most of the extra training is done during the weekend so i didnt have to miss much work.

I was very luck and got a job on my first interview.
I think Texas Teachers prepared me enough but I also did alot of research on my own, they have a lot of traing for your PPR exam and a day for help for first time job searchers.

Finding a job really depends on what you will be certified in.
I did bilingual so I am still having principle calling me.
I think the demand is still out there and wish you the best of luck.
If you have any more questons you can sent me a private message.

iteachtexas.com is entirely online and operates out of the dallas area - they are comparably priced to tx tchrs too
