Are any of you Texas teachers in a district of innovation? My district is considering it, and while some things sound good, I'm worried about the class size ratio for k-4 no longer being used among other things.

What has been your experience with this?

We are working on our DOI proposal. Your district can choose what parts of the DOI "plan" it wants to use. Out of the 11 or so things we can choose from we are only choosing 4 to actually implement. Your district can choose what it feels will work best for them. Not everything has to be chosen to implement.

Ours is in the process of becoming one. You can go here to see what all the current DOI's are changing.
