I'm looking to change things up a bit the week before testing and wanted to do a saturated test prep "workout" week. I'm thinking of various activities, maybe even centers at some point, focusing on different skills. Anyone have ideas?

...content area, grade level, state, etc. would be helpful.

She teaches fifth grade, and is presumably concerned with math and reading.

Why do you want to change things up?

I play lots of games such as math jeopardy, get the kids moving even more than usual, have them make posters of key terms and try and keep it stress free. No practice packets close to test time.

I saw a cool idea-I can't remember where or I'd post it. But they did a rotation of review skills and had students running the groups and coming up with ideas for the activities.

Some places don't allow for "test prep", so just make sure you're okay to review like this. (I think you should be allowed, but they didn't ask me...)

I suspect it's more common for teachers to be required to test prep, then for them to be forbidden from it.

I like to do an I have/Who Has game for things in math that kids need to memorize, it works best with stuff relating to measurement in my case. The kids find it very fun.

    Sorry! Grade 5 ELA

I wanted to change things up to not only get some added review of things covered during the year, but also a change of pace. I was thinking of high impact activities in the area of writing especially.
