How many of you use test generators to make your test? I'm playing around with the new test generator I was given, and I am actually pleasantly surprised by the quality of some of the problems....a lot more higher order thinking than I expected from a generator!
I use a test generator but I write my own questions. I have tables that sit two students each in my classroom so it is necessary that I make several versions of a test. By using the test generator, I can easily make as many versions as I need.
Not me, sorry. I write my own tests, a different one for each class. I want control over the emphasis and the phrasing.
I just tried one for the first time ever this year...actually tried two. One was very difficult to use, and the other was easier but harder to change the problems if I needed to. I spent most of this afternoon re-doing it! Any chance you'd share the name of your test generator?
It's the ExamView Test Generator...it was on a disk that game with the textbook for the Holt McDougal texts. Of course some of the questions are junk, but it is easy enough to add in my own stuff as well.
kutasoftware.com I hope that link is right.. lol if not google kuta. Best generator ever, so much easier than writing my own tests.
I write my own tests too, but I'm interested in seeing if there's any science test generators for elementary/middle school level. I just want to see what's out there.
