Terracycle Anyone?

    Does anyone use Terracycle at their school?

    No, unfortunately our has not yet dove into that area yet. I believe it is something to do with recycling, correct?

    Terryacycle is a website that fosters the "upcycling" of things we would normally throw in the trash. Think: packaging for food products, used up pens, expo markers, cell phones, bottles, corks, flip flops etc. They then "upcycle" into something usable. Playground equipment, pencil cases, backpacks, speakers, teething rings, reusable bags, etc.

    When you send in products you not only get the satisfaction of doing something good and keeping waste out of the landfills....but they also allocate points that you can use to donate to a charity of your choosing.

    Personally - I think schools should jump on the expo marker recycling program since we go through SOOO many each year. I was hoping to find another teacher who participates in the program.
