I am currently a half-time special education teacher with B, C, and D level students. (My hours my bump to full time within the next month+fingers crossed). During Math, I am working with a new program called i-Ready and Ready Common Core with my students. So far I like the program. I'm using older laptops that are out of "support." The laptops drop sound and the wireless frequently drops the password. I'm hoping updated technology with avoid this problem.

I need to get full time before I can put in a request on Donors Choose. Does anyone else know of other sites teachers can put in requests for donations? I would like to get about 4 windows tablets. (and wishfully thinking a charging doc). This would allow a small group of students to work on the computer while others complete another activity.

My current caseload is 11 students. (May increase by 4 or 5 over the next month). Teaching literacy (foundation skills, comprehension/fluency, and writing), writing, and math. I'm using the Ready CC and i-Ready for math.

I just starting applying through Adopt-A-Classroom. My classroom received a $400 donation from JCPenneys, as did many others who had applied.
