A fellow teacher and I have been talking about ideas for next year. We have thought about team teaching. One of us would teach reading and phonics while the other teaches math and science for the morning. Then the classes would switch the second half of the day. (teacher A would continue to teach reading and science and teacher B would teach science and math) We have seen it done in the upper grades, but has anyone done this in first? Does it work? Does any one have any ideas that would make this work for our first graders? Thanks!
