I’m a bit new to teaching seniors, and I really needed some help with teaching the college resumé and essay. Teachers Pay Teachers really didn’t have much for me to work with. Has anyone had experience with teaching this curriculum before? I’d greatly appreciate the advice.
do you mean the personal statement essay that students need to write for college entrance? Or do you mean some other essay, like maybe what they will have to write for eng 101? I seem to recall once upon a time finding some great personal statement essay material on the ny times site that was free for teachers and students to access...sorry I don't remember exactly where or when...There should be lots of free stuff on line for it...try googling personal essay statement (?) Other types of essays that you are looking for might be Expository (informational) or maybe Persuasive try googling the type you want with the word writing after and see what pops up? If you can get more specific here maybe someone has stuff they can pass along to you.
