Does anyone here teach their kids how to code and have middle to high school age students?
Just wondering what curriculum you use and what programming languages you teach?

My DH does a little coding with his middle school students. I’ll have to ask him what program he uses. He’s asleep right now.

Khan academy has a few resources that are free and interactive.

So, DH says Hour of Code has a lot of activities for coding. Not exactly a whole curriculum. But does have some good activities.

I've used Hour of Code on code.org quite a bit; there are lots of activities for all grade levels. Coding is part of our new provincial math standards; I'll have to look more specifically at more resources.

That's pretty nice and informative program, in my opinion. I'm currently looking for such coding courses in the list of best boarding schools in uk and it seems like only few of them have something about IT field of study, and nothing specific about coding. Maybe you know other lists of schools that have such courses?

Yes, I am teaching my 8 year old son coding and programming as he had interest in it. I was exploring options as I didn’t want to bombard him with too much information and finally went for Moonshot Jr’s Innovator Program. You can check out their curriculum.

Moreover, there are many institutions and online platforms which provide training programs for middle and high school students. Some of them which you can explore are:
    • Khan Academy
    • Whitehat Jr
    • Udemy
