Teaching Alphabets and Phonics to kids

    Hi,

    I am new here.

I recently got a website called kidseclass from my school district. They have awesome maths and english interactives to let my students play with to practice alphabets, phonics, numbers, shapes and colors.

Does anyone have more good sites like kidseclass.com especially for ideas on good habits.

I don't mean to be a stick in the mud, but good habits don't really seem like something you should be relying on a computer to teach, especially to preschoolers who should really have pretty limited screen time at school. How old are the kids? What exactly are you trying to teach them? In my opinion, good habits are best taught through modeling, repetition, conversation, and reading high-interest books that touch on the habits you are trying to teach.

This was a genuine request to get to know how others are doing when it comes to teaching good habits.

What specific good habits are you thinking of? My students are far from preschool, but, at any age, modelling and classroom culture are key.
