I know this will sound like a stupid question so please forgive me. I am a fairly new teacher and I have been enjoying all the advice on this forum while I look for a job. I have seen posts asking for templates for teacher brochures. What is that? I have never heard of a teacher having one. Are they more common than I realize? I live in California and all applications are generally online. How do you get your brochures to the schools? Thanks!
It is kind of like a mini portfolio. It is something that could help you stand out as a teacher and land that interview. To get them to school, you can either drop them off, or usually the on-line applications have a place to upload files, you can upload your brochure and attach it as part of your application.
I would love to see an example so I know what it's supposed to look like. Anyone know where I can find one?
In all the interviews I've sat on, we saw only one brochure...we did say it made us remember the candidate...
I mail mine to the schools along with my resume and certificates. I use to do a tri-fold one but this year I made it like a news letter on a sheet of paper.
