I wish TPT was around when I was a new teacher. There are so many great ideas on there for newbies and veterans alike. I've also found some awesome resources for administrators! I think I'm addicted.
I'm not very cutesy-creative when it comes to stuff. I am perfectly happy to pay someone to make something for me. Great stuff on there.
I have literally zero artistic ability. I love when I can get reasonably priced, excellent resources. Even the stuff that isn't free is usually very reasonably priced and high quality. It's also nice knowing that everything being sold has been vetted by actual teachers.
I got quite a bit of stuff there this summer. I did spend a bit (but took advantage of the sales), but it was well worth it. The quality of the resources I purchased is exceptional!
I only use the free stuff But there are a lot of great free stuff so it's enough for me! I use it allllll the time
As a first-year teacher, I was just thinking to myself today, "How did new teachers ever survive without this?!"
We don't have packaged curriculum, except in math. TPT has been a lifesaver on MANY occasions! I especially love all the awesome math station stuff I've gotten on there. It would have taken me forever to create all those partner math games. To me, the amount of time I save is worth every penny.
It's funny how things have changed over the years. I started offering downloads 15 years ago and one of the biggest challenges was customers who wanted me to MAIL them the resource because they didn't want to download it.
I love being able to share beyond my own team (though I love them to pieces). I just started selling on TPT, but enjoy giving away freebies because who gets more excited about free stuff than teachers? I have free Halloween literacy centers on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/MissKinders. Feel free to share with any Pre-K, K, or 1st teachers.
15 years ago, I would have been one if them. Dial-up was soooo slow. I could start to load a page, go do dishes, and come back and it still wouldn't be finished!
I found a (FREE!) template for my Monday Memo! Also, I found a really cool (FREE!) PBIS office referral form.
Miss Kinders, I have signed up for your freebie. I sent you an email. YTG, now I am going check out the PBIS form.
Am I missing something? I have never heard of TPT. Would someone be kind and explain to a clueless teacher? Thanks. Feel like a newbie....guess I am.
It's a great resource, and an easy place to spend money. However, if you search for something, after you get your search results, try using the filters on the left hand side to show only "free" products. There are a lot of free items too!
