I'd like to create a blog or website for my classroom. I think it'd be much easier to update this whenever needed versus having to put together a note home. Plus, I'd like to upload pictures for parents to see special things we do (once I get all photo releases back :p ).

Anyone know of any good sites for this? Also, if you have a class website, I'd love to see it! :)

I don't teach so I don't have a class website. I do have a blog though. I started with blogger, went to wordpress and actually just went back to blogger.

I find blogger easy to use. You can customize the design any way you want. Wordpress was okay, it was a pain to navigate through and that's why I made the switch back.

i use weebly.com. It's pretty easy to use and free. On the site you can also add a blog. My website is krodgersclass.weebly.com.

I also like weebly-my only complaint with them is sometimes it kind of freezes for a short time-so it can take me awhile to update it. Also, I can't get my videos to upload and went back and forth with customer service forever about it, still didn't get a resolution.

I don't like to post the website here because there are so many kid pics, but would be glad to pm it you.

    Thank you! That's very helpful!

KinderCowGirl, I appreciate your offer to PM it to me, but I totally understand your being uncomfortable about sharing it, so I'm not gonna ask you to do that. Thanks anyway! =)

I love weebly too. You can create up to two different websites too with one account. :)

I just started a website on schoolworld.com. It has a blog, quizzes, puzzles, polls, and a message board built in. I've only had it for a week but I love it.

I have a shutterfly share site this year and I love it! You can post files, volunteer forms, pictures, videos, journal entries, and it can be completely private. I've gotten wonderful comments from parents so far.

Yes, but none of the free ones had all the features I wanted. Plus, you get what you pay for. :p
