Working on organizing my teacher supply area. What are some supplies you preschool/preK teachers find essential to have at your finger tips?
Aside from teaching/curriculum materials, I always stock up on Velcro dots, magnets, contact paper, and 3m hooks.
I also keep my own set of markers and crayons in a cabinet on s hit shelf the kids can't reach. I use them frequently and like to have my own germ-free set!
Favorite Supplies My favorite teacher supplies are: sharpies! (I can't live without them), colored index cards, goldfish crackers (I use these as a quick reward), magnets, sticky tack, butterfly clips, lots of wipes, cardstock ( we have a Cricut), popsicle sticks ( I use these for everything from knives for the kids to manipulatives for centers), label tape, lunch bags, Velcro dots, index cards, Ziploc baggies (I use a ton of these), rubber stamps and pads and many more. But, absolute faves are: Ziploc bags and Sharpies!
index cards We use the colored index cards in a card file , one for each child, to keep behavior records on with a letter key. I use regular cards in making games, flashcards, notes home, lots of literacy centers, etc.
