Since we're all sharing things we can find at a bargain, i thought i'd ask.

where can i find stickers (to put on student's assigments) or stamp ink pads, decorative office supply holders to put on teachers' desk for cheap?

i saw a lot of those teaching supply stores and they can get a bit pricey. especially if your starting out new...

oh and how about teacher business cards, as well as those memo pads with your name on it....???

    any suggestions??

    :thanks: ;)

Target had stamps and stickers in the dollar section. The stamps say things like "great work" or have a picture of an apple.. very "teachery"

Dollar Tree or other dollar stores. I got a pack of somewhere between 400 and 500 stickers for $1. In the same package they have smaller stickers and bigger stickers. I also got some stamps and an ink pad. There were packages of either 2 or 4 stamps for a dollar and the ink pad was $1.

Vista Print is great for stamps and stuff. You can design your own, and if you get only the free stuff, it only costs you the shipping. I use the small magnets for my homework passes, and have a couple of stamps, notepads, etc. from there.

    BIG LOTS 8/4/07

I don't know if you have a Big Lots near you....but, I just saw a commercial that was "Especially for Teachers".

August 4th, all Big Lots will give teachers and ADDITIONAL 10% off school supplies. Just bring your name tag and/or county card.

Big Lots is super cheap anyhow..so this should be awesome.

I get tons of free, unsolicited address labels in the mail from March of Dimes and places like that. They usually have a cute picture to the left of my address. Cut off the picture with a paper cutter. Instant, free, stickers.

Look in all of the "junk mail" that you get for scholastic news and those types of publications. They often include a sheet of stickers.

Teacher appreciation days at staples and office deopot usually include a sheet of stickers in the goodie bags.

Lakeshore learning has had % off on stickers, die cuts etc... during thier back to school sales in the past....let's hope that they offer the same this year!

Highlight kids magazine. You get a coupon to send home with each student. Tell your students they don't have to buy the magazine, their parents sign the coupon that they don't want the magazine and you get a bunch of free stickers and stuff. Really stress that they don't have to buy the magazine. Send notes home with the note.

I did this last year and got an adorable sticker box FULL of stickers! Regular ones, sparkly ones, and smelly ones. My kids LOVED them, and I saved the smellies for special treats.

Dollar Tree has everything, stickers are great there. And I use VistaPrint when it's free too, I love them. I'm looking for cute personalized notepads so I'll be curious if anyone else has good cheap places to get those.

After the 4th of July, I was able to get 3 mini flags for 50 cents (regular price $1; I had my eyes on them babies!) at TARGET! I grabbed 7 pkgs! I will use them daily when we do our Patriotic songs; the kids will get a kick out of this. Be sure to go there after a holiday.

Dollar Tree also has great stickers bound in a book.

I knew a teacher who put these labels on the books in their classroom library and the labels said please return to and the teacher's name/address. I thought that was pretty clever.

I get tons of stuff from dollar stores, Target, Big Lots, Ollie (great for books and other learning oriented things), AC Moore often has stamps and stamp pads cheap also. I'm not sure about Michaels.

Don't forget that Michael's & Hobby Lobby have 40% coupons in Sunday's newspaper.

    Love this site,
