OK all of you brilliant and creative teachers! We need a teacher skit for our school talent show. Any ideas? Short is good, for about 8 teachers of varying physical and rhythmic abilities. Last year we did Sister Act and the year before we did American Idol. HELP!

What about a dance show? like so you think you can dance (or dancing with the stars)

I am thinking about us doing American Idol again this year. The kids LOVED it when we did it.

How about acting out the day in the classroom, with the teacher acting like kids?

We did one where we painted faces on pillow cases and put them over our heads. I know you have seen this-you put your arms up so it looks like you have little short legs. We did a "dance" routine. We have also done one where one teacher was "interviewing" the rest of us. She would ask a question about different school mattersand we would answer with a song. The one I remember is I heard one of your students recently moved. Could you tell me about that? Our answer was to sing "The devil went down to Georgia" We also did one where a teacher sits in front of a table with another behind her. The one behind gets to be the front teachers arms. Caption-this is how your teacher(s) get ready in the morning. You can guess what came next-eating cereal, brushing teeth, applying makeup and brushing hair. Really funny!

I wrote one for our staff using "The All Knowing Wizard of Oz", it was sooo cute. Here's scene 1

The All Knowing Wizard of Oz

    Scene One:
    Teachers’ Lounge

Three teachers are sitting at a table.

Teacher 1: We’re on the list.

    Teacher 2: What list?

    Teacher 1: “The List!”

Teacher 2: What in the world is, “The List?”

Teacher 1: It’s the list that the State Department distributes to schools that didn’t score well on the Stanford 9.

Teacher 2: Well, what does that mean?

Teacher 1: I don’t really know, and I don’t know what to do about it, but it’s bad news, really, serious bad news!!!

Teacher 2: Well, surely someone must know what to do.

Teacher 3: I know, we can go and ask Ms. XXXX. Why, she’s just like the Wizard of Oz. She knows everything.

    Teachers 1,2,3:
Well, (singing) I guess we’re off to see the Wizard, the wonderful Wizard of Oz. (They are wearing red shoes, they click their heels, and off they go to see the Wizard.)

My principal wants to know what you would charge to send us the whole skit? (And she is serious!)

Treysmom...I would love the script of the questions asked and the song "answers". This might be what we do for our talent show this year. Thanks

Grease! I saw a youtube video this summer that was really cute. It got a lot of the school's staff involved, and they just lip synched and danced!
