Teacher interview

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knows how long usually after a job interview does the school call you if they want to hire you?

 

Sometimes, it's on the spot, other times, it's weeks!

I got one offer on the spot after a second interview.
Another time, I got the offer on my drive home from the interview (they called me)
I think my longest wait was a week

 

I think the longest I have ever waited for a job offer was a couple of days.

 

If you don't mind my asking which state were you hired?

 

Most of my years were in Florida, but I have also worked in Virginia and Tennessee.

I would guess this time of year it would more than likely be fairly quickly.

Of the two teaching jobs I have had, one I was sent in another room, called back into the principal's office, and was hired. The other job took about six weeks for me to officially be offered the job.

 

So much anxiety. Went on another interview and was told that I should hear back within 24 hrs. Has been 4hrs and still haven't heard back. guess its not happening. I mean I don't think they'd have to wait the full 24hrs.

 

If they say 24 hours, give them 24 hours. They may need to call references, and four hours might not be enough time to do that.
