My husband has been working as an aid for the past three years while trying to find a certified teaching job. He was offered a TA position, including insurance, in his dream district for next year. He graduated from the district, I work in the district, and our son goes to school in that district. The AP who interviewed him said they loved him. Problem is, two days later, he was offered a full-time certified teaching job at a charter school in the city. My brain says that he should take the teaching position for the experience and the full-time salary. My heart says to keep the TA position and hope it turns into a full-time opportunity in the district next year. Any suggestions?
