In the 8 years that I have been at my school Teacher Appreciation day/week has not been recognized. This year a couple of us were talking about appreciating each other. I've invited the teachers to participate in a Pinterest-Inspired teacher appreciation gift exchange (max. $10). What are some of the best gifts that you have received? I would like to make a 'forever' gift.

    That sounds fun!

As for "forever" gifts, I'm afraid I'm not the one to ask. In the past few years I've randomly begun a shift from a pack-rat to a wannabe minimalist and I find myself preferring "consumable" gifts (food, lotion, candles, etc.) than stuff that just sits around.

I haven't thought of that Backroads. i work with a lot of teachers who have taught less then 5 years, so I might be okay.

Me too. I would love homemade lotion; school soap really dries out my hands.

I'd appreciate things I can use in my classroom, especially if they are the types of things that I normally wouldn't splurge on, like giant sticky notes. One year someone gave me a mirror to hang in my classroom, and I love that.
