I know there are teacher appreciation days at office supply stores like Staples and Office Depot, but I can't seem to find on the websites when they actually are. I found the dates for LAST year. Does anyone know how you can find out? Thanks!
Each store usually has its own events scheduled. Your best bet is to call your local store and ask the manager.
Office Max's teacher appreciation stuff was today, at least here in Vegas. (The website said that it wasn't until Aug 23rd, though, so I'm glad I checked in the store last week!) We got: An insulated lunch bag A Nalgene-style water bottle with a pop top (very nice quality!) A dry erase marker A glue stick A box of push pins A roll of large stickers Several coupons (I think totalling around $60)
Last year office depot gave a tote bag with some goodies, ie pencil, pen, notebook, color pencils my co-worker got an office chair last year at staples. At the staples near my house, they do a scavenger hunt and we go around the store to collect the item they want (coupon for example). then we count the "coupons" and the prizes will be depending on the number of coupons we've collected. The prizes range from getting a table, file cabinets, office chairs, to a bag full of glue bottles. I believe everyone leaves with something. Two years ago i got a bag full of folders and till this day, i still have them. I didn't purchase any folders last year or this. Any i won't for anther couple of years.
Do you need to bring anything to show we are teachers? My school takes our ID for the summer and I really have no proof that I am a teacher. Do Staples or Office Max check to see if you are a teacher? Thanks!
