How often do you take naps?

I hardly ever nap. If I did, it must have been an unusual day! I'm sure I can count on one hand the # of naps I've taken in my life. (I don't remember taking any as a child/teen either). Maybe if I'm not feeling well, I just might lie down for a little while, but not actually fall asleep. But, that rarely happens too.

If I take a nap, it's an accident. They throw me off for the remainder of the day.

When I was in college, my roommate and I took a nap every day! I even remember once when a friend came over to visit during nap time. We pushed our beds together and all three of us took a nap. I did a 20-30 minute nap every day all through college.

That was really unusual because I hadn't ever been a "napper" before that, and I haven't been since. Now the only time I ever nap is when I'm not feeling well. That's often how I know that I'm sick.

I don't really nap either. I'm either 1) really tired or 2) sick.

I've been taking 20-30 min. naps a few times a week lately. I'm not getting enough sleep at night, and I think, also, this past month my hormones were out of whack which made me tired, too.

I nap a lot! My grandmother took at nap every day of her life, and swore by them! it must have worked! She lived to be 88, and was always full of energy (except between 12:30 and 2:00 PM each day!) I nap during weekends and school breaks. On rough days I've been known to take a ten minute power nap at my desk during my lunch time.

I like to take a nap if I'm tired enough and am home so I can! I usually can take a nap just fine without it interferring with my evening sleep. Naps are healthy so my motto is if you're tired and you can, nap!

I take a nap if I am home. I don't sleep well at night, so it is usually a catch up nap.

My doctor told me that a nap was a great way to rest your heart, and very good for you.

I hate naps. I feel groggy and get a headache afterward.

Lately, though, I have been falling asleep. I fell asleep grading papers the other day. I have been sick since December. I have been through 3 rounds of antibiotics. I guess I am falling asleep because I am run-down.

I think I should have taken a nap this afternoon--I'm going to be up past midnight watching the short-track speed-skating.

Used to nap all the time when I got home from work and on the weekends, lately I haven't had time!

I do it on the weekends sometimes-if I take a nap for an hour during the day I can stay up much later at night! When I'm on break for example, I'll stay up later but then get up at the same time (canine alarm clock) so I'll get really tired midday. They do it even in businesses in other countries-power naps.

Like giraffe, I get headaches if I take naps. I maybe nap once a year and when I wake up it's very, "What just happened?? Did I fall asleep?? What time is it??"

I don't like naps...but I've taken quite a few while I've been pregnant. The meds they had me on knocked me out for a while. Then the day would be gone :(

I know this thread is a few weeks old, but oh well. I take a nap daily. I wish I would not have too, but I am sooo exhausted by the end of the day, that I can't do anything until I nap. Yesterday and today, though, I just took about 10 minute power naps (not really by choice).

I've taken a nap the past few days because I've been sick. That's normally the only time I nap.

I LOVE naps! Sunday afternoons are the best. It's the most luxurious thing I can do for myself.

I'm not a good sleeper. The best way for me to catch up on sleep is to get to bed early.

If I've had 2 non-surgical related naps in the last year, I would be surprised.

All the time, especially short naps. I can get refreshed after a 10 minute nap.
