I was just wondering if kindergarten teachers out there would rather have 5 rectangular tables that fit 4 children, or 4 bigger tables that fit 6 children? This will be my first year in K, so I'm not sure yet what I think.

I would rather have 5 tables of 4. (That's what I have, actually.) I just think they would be more easily distracted with 5 other children at the table.

I also have 5 tables of 4...it seems like it is easier for the children to be able to reach the supplies I put in the middle of the table.

I have 5 table of 4 also. I wish they were round or square instead of clover shaped. MIne take up as much floor space as a round table but don't provide as much work space.

I have 6 tables of 4 and would rather have that than to put more children at one table. Too much chatting/distractions going on!!

I use round tables. No more that 4 at a table.

5 tables of 4 which is what we use. I think 6 at a table might be too much.
