I am at a loss for a field trip. The George Washington Carver Monument is a great one, but they're all booked up for the dates we need. I am looking for something educational, fun, and CHEAP! We can't drive too far (an hour one way is all any teacher can stand, isn't it?) and funding for field trips is limited. Please help with some ideas, those of you in SW Missouri! Thanks in advance!

Yes, what town do you teach in? It will give a better idea of what may be close, or what happened in your area that would be worthy of a field trip.

Just reading your thread, and I do not want this to go in the wrong direction. When I was in college there, we went to some science center outside of Springfield, is that still available? Oh I do miss Springfield-- I student taught at the StoreFront School and Fairgrove Middle School.
